The Kiwanis Club of New Canaan welcomed Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman Laszlo Papp to a recent meeting and luncheon at the Roger Sherman Inn.

"Planning and zoning is key to maintaining the beauty and integrity of our town, and we're so very fortunate to have Laszlo Papp and the P&Z Commission leading strategy for our development and conservation efforts," Beth Jones, selectman and Kiwanis Club member, said.

Papp, a 54-year New Canaan resident, presented plans for the town's ongoing development and conservation, recent additions and enhancements to affordable housing, and discussed how interested residents can get involved and learn more.

Papp stressed that although change is often inevitable, it should be welcomed, researched and planned for in order to continue to maintain the quality and beauty of the town.
