Stephen G. St. Raymond, 48, of Easton was arrested on a warrant service related to an incident where he brought a loaded gun into Silver Hill Hospital Feb. 1 at 12:50 p.m.

Raymond was originally in the process of checking into Silver Hill Hospital on Dec. 13, 2011 at 8:07 p.m. when he revealed to an employee he had a gun on him that he did not intend using.

The police were called in and he told them he did not have a safe place to keep the gun and decided to bring it with him, according to the report. Police said he had a warrant for the gun but Raymond also appeared to be intoxicated at the time. The gun, a Ruger 380, was loaded but had nothing in the chamber, police said.

Raymond was transported to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation while the police obtained a search warrant for his toxicology report. The report revealed that he was intoxicated. Police charged Raymond with carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.

Raymond posted a $10,000 bond and will appear in court Feb. 14.
