NEW CANAAN — St. Luke’s School students from all over the region worked together to bring a classic story to life.

A musical version of “James and the Giant Peach” was produced at the New Canaan private school Friday evening, with dozens of kids taking part, aided by many staff members and parents.

“It’s a really hard show and the kids have worked so diligently,” said teacher Leo Mahler, who directed.

“Everybody has so much fun,” said Peggy Van Acker, art teacher, “all being part of a big team and making a fantasy happen.”
