NEW CANAAN — Some cold-blooded critters got a warm reception at New Canaan Library Saturday afternoon.

Brian Kleinman, owner and operator of Riverside Reptiles, based in East Granby, brought a few of his 130 pets for a meet and greet, including a tarantula, an African bullfrog, and a 90-pound Burmese python named Percy.

“I think reptiles appeal to everybody, because they don’t know a lot about them,” said Kleinman, who entertained around 100 kids and adults.

“What I try to do is educate the people and dispel a lot of the myths,” he said.
