Stamford Hospital has been recognized as a Center of Excellence in minimally invasive gynecology by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

The hospital's team of physicians and nurses specializes in minimally invasive approaches to gynecology and offer expert specialized surgical care for women who face surgical treatment for benign or malignant conditions.

COEMIG-accredited centers comply with requirements designated by the AAGL's Standards Committee, and are subject to a comprehensive and thorough inspection by a review committee. Approved facilities must adhere to requirements, including an institutional commitment to excellence in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
