Green Fur Kidz, an all-volunteer shelter dog rescue group, will stop at Village Critter Outfitter, 107 Cherry St., from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
Green Fur Kidz members will discuss rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming shelter dogs and how to adopt them.
The nonprofit shelter dog rescue group is based in Newtown. The rescued dogs are fostered by volunteers in their homes.
"We welcome Green Fur Kidz to educate our animal-loving clientele on the process of rescuing shelter dogs, along with getting to meet one special rescue named Caleb," said Shirleen Dubuque, owner of Village Critter Outfitter. "We offer time and space for our clientele to get to know this rescue group and provide an opportunity for these adoptable animals to find a good home."
