Stacey Sobel, executive director of Child Advocates of SW Connecticut, recently visited the New Canaan Kiwanis Club to discuss her organization's goals and services.

The organization's mission is to "recruit, train and supervise court-appointed volunteers who work to ensure that each abused or neglected child has a safe, loving and permanent home," according to Sobel and the advocates' website. "We are so fortunate to have such wonderful volunteers to help us advocate for children. However, we can do so much more with committed community members and those interested in working for the best interests of each child."
