The New Canaan Nature Center is putting the final bows on the 25th anniversary of the Secret Gardens Tour which will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Twenty five years is a testament to the event itself, as well as the generosity of garden owners and committee members and the commitment of this community to the New Canaan Nature Center," said Laura Heckman, executive director of the nature center.

To celebrate this milestone, the nature center will host a special luncheon to thank 25 years of garden owners, committee members and patrons under a tent in the meadow. This year's tour is being co-chaired by Muffy Lewis and Peggy Toce, with committee leadership from Britta Pemberton, Katie Harris, Peppi Jones, Marianne Kay, Sue Kemp, Kathy Streinger and Ellen Zumbach.

The Secret Gardens Tour attracts visitors from all over Fairfield County, Westchester and New York City. For tickets visit the nature center's website at www.newcanaannature.org or call 203-966-9577.
