Magdala Pierre-Louis, 28, of 74 Waterman St., Bridgeport., was arrested May 14 on a charge of being a fugitive from justice.
New Canaan police said an officer on patrol saw Pierre-Louis driving above the posted speed limit on New Norwalk Road at about 12:30 a.m. The officer stopped her 2006 Toyota Camry and asked her for documentation, according to the report.
As he checked the woman's license number on the computer, the officer learned there was a warrant for her arrest out of Montgomery County in Pennsylvania, police said. Pierre-Louis, who was wanted for violation of probation, was taken into custody and transported to Norwalk Superior Court in the morning, according to the report.
Police said there was no bond and that she likely would be extradited to Pennsylvania.
Pierre-Louis was given a verbal warning for driving too fast, according to police.
