NEW CANAAN — Police arrested a 22-year-old man from West Windsor, N.J. after he posed as a New Canaan High School student in an attempt to get onto school grounds.
On May 1 around 12:15 p.m., the school resource officer saw Tyler Moroch, of Travis Court, trying to get into the school from an outside door to the cafeteria. Moroch told the officer he was 17 years old and had just transferred to NCHS. The school resource officer determined Moroch was actually a former NCHS student and the 22-year-old did not have a valid reason or explanation for being on school grounds.
Moroch was taken into custody for interfering with an office and loitering on school grounds. He posted a $5,000 bond and was given a court date of May 15. He was also advised to stay off school property.
