Food pantry shelves are depleted

Donations of bags of non-expired, nonperishable food are sought for the New Canaan Food Pantry, the shelves of which are understocked.

The items needed are pasta sauce, tea, mayonnaise, stew, decaffeinated coffee, apple sauce, white rice, crackers, cookies, baby wipes and laundry detergent. No pasta, beans or soup are needed at this time.

Food donations may be left at the food pantry at St. Mark's Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge Road.

Financial gifts are also welcomed. Make checks payable to New Canaan Food Pantry and mail to 77 Main St., New Canaan 06840. For information, call 203-966-4515.
