First Selectman to discuss 'State of the Town' with Sr. Men

First Selectman Rob Mallozzi will address the Senior Men's Club of New Canaan in Merrill Hall at St. Mark's Church on Friday, March 9, at 10 a.m. He will present an update on his vision for New Canaan and some of the policies he may implement -- a primer on the State of the Town.
According to Mallozzi, the 2012-13 budget is the biggest issue currently facing the town, and New Canaan will have to make some difficult choices in the future.
Mallozzi is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and was president of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

He was a member of the New Canaan Board of Selectman from 2007 through 2011 and has been active in public service with many organizations, including the Rotary Club, the New Canaan YMCA, Winter Club, Teen Center, Village Association, Fire Company No. 1, the Downtown Study Group and The Fund for New Canaan.
Mallozzi and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for 21 years. They've lived in New Canaan since 1994 and their two children attend New Canaan Public Schools.
