For the fifth consecutive year, Charity Navigator, the largest independent evaluator of U.S. charities, awarded Family Centers a 4-star rating for outstanding fiscal management.

The four-star designation is Charity Navigator's highest honor, and indicates that Family Centers outperforms the majority of nonprofits in America with respect to fiscal responsibility.

Family Centers is a private, nonprofit organization offering education and human services to children, adults and families in Fairfield County.

Less than a quarter of the nonprofits surveyed in the U.S. receive the four-star endorsement, and 6 percent earn the honor five years in a row.

This consistent recognition from Charity Navigator assures Family Centers' donors that their philanthropic efforts support one of the most effective and efficient charitable organizations in the nation.

"As the nonprofit sector continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, savvy donors are demanding more accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from the charities they choose to support with their hard-earned dollars," said Ken Berger, Charity Navigator president and CEO.
