Fairfield man charged with New Canaan break-ins

Frank Keller, 40, of Fairfield was arrested on a warrant by Fairfield police on Friday, Oct. 19, on charges of three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of sixth-degree larceny and one count of fifth-degree larceny in connection with three incidents in 2009.

Fairfield police alerted the New Canaan police, who brought him into custody.

Police said that from Sept. 2 to Sept. 10 of 2009, $120 in cash was stolen from a car on Smith Ridge Road; there was an attempted break-in of a car on Shagbark Drive car, but the robber was scared away by the owner; and $400 in cash was stolen from a car on Conrad Road.

Police said Keller posted $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Oct. 29.
