Ashley Hall, a victim specialist for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the New Haven office, will be the guest of a Ladies Who Launch event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Walin & Wolff, 36 Elm St., New Canaan.
Her scope of work in the FBI includes providing a variety of services to victims of federal crimes, including bank robberies, sex trafficking, child pornography and white collar. Prior to joining to FBI in 2011, Hall worked with local and state police in Rhode Island, providing services to victims of crime and responding to critical incidents. Most recently, she provided services following the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown in 2012. As a result of her work there, she was awarded the 2013 FBI Director's Award for Distinguished Service for Assisting Victims of Crime and the 2013 Attorney General's Award for Outstanding Contributions by a New Employee.
Kathy McShane, managing director of Ladies Who Launch in Connecticut, said, "It's important for us to be informed about as many aspects of society as possible. Ms. Hall will share with us a side of society that we may not know much about. This will give us an opportunity to hear firsthand about these things and the audience will be able to ask questions."
Food and beverages will be served. To register, call 203-803-9591 or visit http://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-visit-from-the-fbi-tickets-11201414733
