The 36th annual Members' Show, which showcases paintings, drawings, prints, photography, mixed media and sculpture by artists from Connecticut and New York, opens at the Carriage Barn Arts Center in Waveny Park on Sept. 15 and runs through Sept. 29.
The opening reception takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15. The reception is free.
The exhibition is by members of the New Canaan Society of the Arts, which makes its home at the Carriage Barn on South Avenue. Members were invited to submit two works of art to be considered for the show.
The Carriage Barn Arts Center is a nonprofit organization that promotes artistic achievement, encourages creative expression and provides exhibitions, educational programs and special performances. The center offers artists opportunities to exhibit their work in a gallery space in a 19th-century stone barn, which once was part of the former estate at Waveny Park.
The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. For information, call 203-972-1895 or visit www.carriagebarn.org.
