More than $2,000 worth of video equipment was stolen from an estate sale on Putnam Road, the sale-organizer reported on 10:07 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, to the police.

The 42-year-old woman in charge of running the estate sale believe the theft happened the night before. She said two black nylon bags, each containing a $1,000 video camera, were missing when she opened up Sunday morning for the sale. Police said that although the garage in which the items were stored was not ransacked, there was evidence that someone had been in there. A $100 18-inch television was also missing.
