A group of grassroots environmental advocates from both Darien and New Canaan have organized a local "Global Day of Conversation," which will take place on the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day.

The event "Bridging the Border Between Darien and New Canaan" will take place in the Merritt Room at the Talmadge Hill Community Church (870 Hollow Tree Ridge Road, Darien, on Thursday, April 22, from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m.

The conversation may include the following topics: land, water, buildings, energy, saving our skies, sustainable transportation and sustainable economic growth.

Local environmental groups are encouraged to become co-sponsors of "Bridging the border between Darien and New Canaan" and members of the public and representatives from local environmental groups are encouraged to participate.
