As its 40th anniversary season continues, the Pro Arte Singers will celebrate the holidays with its annual Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan.

Under the direction of Arthur Sjögren, the concert will feature Benjamin Britten's Christmas classic "A Ceremony of Carols." As always, there will be a candlelight procession along with carols old and new, including a chance for the audience to sing along.

The Pro Arte Singers, distinguished as the region's only choral group composed entirely of professional singers, is a nonprofit ensemble. It is supported in part by private contributions and public grants, including one from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.

First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, 178 Oenoke Ridge, Saturday, Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m. $30, $25 for seniors and students, 203-322-5970, www.proartesingers.org.
