Cynthia Charas, 49, of 329 Laurel Road, New Canaan, was arrested Nov. 8 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or other drugs and unsafe tires.

At 12:39 a.m., an officer, hearing a loud noise, observed a vehicle on Old Stamford Road near Old Studio Road veering to the passenger's side, police said. When he pulled the driver over and questioned her, he detected an odor of alcohol and noticed her speech was slurred, according to the report.

Additionally, the right front passenger tire was missing and the tire rim was deformed, according to police.

She was administered a field sobriety test, which she failed, police said.

She posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 22.
