Dishcrawl, a national start-up founded on the premise that communities can be brought together through good food and good company, is expanding to New Canaan in August.
In partnership with the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce and the Taste of the Town Stroll, Dishcrawl New Canaan is set to launch a two-night exploration on Aug. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. Dishcrawl will build off the New Canaan Restaurant Week concept.
Dishcrawl takes food lovers on a gourmet tour to four distinctive restaurants in one night. Dishcrawlers have the opportunity to experience the best of New Canaan's culinary scene with each other, while simultaneously helping local restaurants gain exposure.
Participating restaurants are kept secret until two days before the event, at which time the first location is revealed to ticket holders.
"The opportunity to partner with the Taste of the Town Stroll and to grow local tourism is essential to building community," said Jesse Leeds-Grant, Fairfield County Dishcrawl coordinator.
Tucker Murphy, executive director of the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, added, "New Canaan is the ideal location for this type of an event, as we are known for our restaurants and our village is so walkable. We are thrilled to partner with Dishcrawl to bring this exciting culinary event to New Canaan this summer."
Reservations are $45 and can be made at dishcrawl.com/newcanaan.
