Darien man arrested for failing to appear

DARIEN — A 37-year-old Darien man was charged with failing to appear on motor vehicle charges out of New Canaan and Darien.
On June 21 around 7:45 a.m., an officer saw Dritan Hoti, of Old King’s Highway South, on the Post Road. An officer knew Hoti had two warrants out for his arrest for failing to appear on motor vehicle charges out of both Darien and New Canaan. The officer stopped the car and placed Hoti under arrest.
Hoti was transported to Darien police headquarters where he was processed on two counts of failure to appear. He posted a $495 bond for the New Canaan charges and a $1,000 for the Darien charges. He was issued two court dates of July 3 and July 5.
