Marc Fischer, 33, of Norwalk man was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 2, on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in the correct lane after police said his vehicle slid off the road.
At 10:49 p.m. police responded to Clapboard Hill Road near Little Brook Road where police said Fischer lost control of his truck, sliding off the street and crashing into the woods in slippery conditions.
When police arrived, according to the report, officers detected the odor of alcohol on Fischer's breath. He failed field sobriety tests, said police.
He posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
