An estimated $50,000 worth of copper downspouts were removed from the outside of a Mariomi Road house.

The incident was reported to police on Dec. 4 but may have occurred earlier.

The resident told police that he noticed a piece of copper on the ground outside his house in late November. When he went to make repairs to the gutter a week later, he noticed sections of it were gone from around the house and garage, according to police.
