Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County will offer two, eight-week bereavement support groups to help individuals cope with loss following the death of a spouse.

One group will meet weekly on Thursday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. beginning April 17 and continuing through June 5. The second group will meet weekly on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. beginning April 28 and continuing through June 16.

"We will explore the grieving process and the profound sense of personal loss that follows the death of a spouse," said Amy Bauer, a grief and bereavement counselor with Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County. "These bereavement support groups will help participants gain a deeper understanding of their feelings of grief and begin the healing process."

The groups will meet at the offices of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County in Suite 114 at the Health and Wellness Center at I-Park, 761 Main Ave., Norwalk.
