About $5,600 worth of materials were taken from a residence under construction on Lakeview Avenue, according to New Canaan police.
The owner of the company working on site called police at 10:52 a.m. Dec. 11 to report the theft, police said. He told police his crew left the materials stacked on a pallet near the construction site Dec. 6. When they returned to work at the house Dec. 11, they discovered that all materials left on the pallet were gone, according to the report.
Items included wood boards of 61 different sizes, about 180 composite ones and a number of screws and bolts, police said.
The case is under investigation.
