Colorectal cancer topic for hospital panel

Stamford Hospital will host an informative session on colorectal cancer at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at the Tully Health Center, 32 Strawberry Hill Court, Stamford.

The event will address the important of screening for colorectal cancer, the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States.

A panel of Stamford Hospital's physicians and cancer experts will lead a free presentation on colorectal health. They are Henry Beecher, M.D., gastroenterologist; Katharine Radziewicz, R.N., gastrointestinal nurse navigator, Lisa Shepard, R.D.; and Erin Ash, cancer genetic counselor.

Light refreshments will be served.
