Caregiver support group begins Sept. 25

Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County offers a free eight-week support group for caregivers on Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 25, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. through Nov. 13 at its office in Suite 114 of the Health and Wellness Center of Norwalk Hospital, 761 Main Ave.

"Any person caring for a family member with a chronic disease finds that their independence and freedom are replaced by stress and exhaustion," said Nanette Greene, a grief and bereavement counselor with Visiting Nurse & Hospice. "Caregivers need a place to talk about their feelings and what they are dealing with day to day."
