A 34-year-old New Canaan man returned to his Toyota Camry in the Talmadge Hill parking lot on the evening of June 24 to find the rear passenger side window smashed and an empty tube that hold skis missing, said police.

The man left the car at 7 a.m. and called police immediately upon returning to the car at 7 p.m., according to the report. A rock was found in the back seat of the car, which had presumable been used to smash the window, said police.

The ski tube is valued at approximately $140.
