New Canaan police and fire departments responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident just before 6:30 p.m. where a car crashed into the New Canaan Library, according to police.

No immediate information was available but the driver of the car was in an ambulance on scene.

It is not known if there are any reported injuries.

There was minor damage to the building and car.
