NEW CANAAN — A 29-year-old Brookfield woman was charged with drunk driving near South School after she was pulled over for allegedly driving through a stop sign.
On Aug. 29 around 10:30 p.m., an officer saw Erin Hardie, of Candlewood Lake Road, drive through a stop sign on Farm Road near South School. The officer pulled Hardie over and smelled alcohol on her breath. Hardie failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody for failing to obey a stop sign and driving under the influence.
Hardie was taken to police headquarters, where she refused a breath test. She posted a $250 bond and was given a Sept. 14 court date.
