Broadway stars on stage in New Canaan

More than 20 stars from Broadway and Fairfield County will perform in "A Night of Stars in Concert" Saturday, Dec. 7, to benefit the Summer Theatre of New Canaan.

The performance takes place at 8 p.m. in the New Canaan Country School Theatre, 695 Frog Town Road. A pre-show reception takes place at 7:30 p.m. Additionally, there will be a live auction and a post-show reception with the evening's stars.

Broadway, regional and local professional artists will perform the popular show tunes from Broadway shows.

"This concert will be a night to remember," said Melody Meitrott Libonati, artistic director. "We are overwhelmed by the talent and generosity of the musical theatre artists performing."

Featured artists performing and residing in Fairfield County include Broadway and Disney composer/songwriter/music director David Friedman, ("Beauty & The Beast"), ("Scandalous"); Jodi Bryce Stevens, ("Jekyll & Hyde"); Gary Harger, ("Shenandoah"); Janelle Roberts, ("Mary Poppins"); Kate Bodenheimer, ("Charlie Brown"); Chris De Rosa, Corinne Curtis and Grace Hardin, ("Joseph"); Christina Farruggia, ("Grease"); Allison Gray, ("The Sound of Music"): Melody Meitrott Libonati, ("Grease"): Sharon Mallane, ("Hair Spray"); and Andrew Serks, ("Rock of Ages"). New York performers include Tiffan Borelli, ("South Pacific"); Jason Michael Evans, ("Miss Saigon"); Joshua Heggie, ("Big River"); Daniel Kline, ("South Pacific"); Malika Petty, ("Charlie Brown"); and Brian Silliman, "My Fair Lady").
