NEW CANAAN — Police said a 24-year-old Bridgeport man was charged with driving drunk in the area of Little Brook Road.

On Dec. 14 around 11:55 p.m., an officer on patrol saw a car with an expired registration plate driving eastbound down Little Brook Road. According to police, the officer pulled over the driver, Kevin Lozano-Cruz of Edwin Street. Police said Lozano-Cruz’s breath smelled like alcohol. The officer gave the Bridgeport man a field sobriety test, which he failed.

Lozano-Cruz was charged with driving under the influence and operating an unregistered vehicle. Police said his blood alcohol content tested at .11, more than the legal limit of .08. Lozano-Cruz posted a $250 bond and was released with a court date of Dec. 28.
