New Canaan Library has partnered with Hoopla Digital to give members access to thousands of movies, TV shows, music and audiobooks.

Library cardholders now can borrow dynamic content from their smartphones, tablets and PCs. Cardholders can download the free Hoopla app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com.

"As a cornerstone for New Canaan's intellectual and cultural life, we're committed to providing our patrons with free and convenient access to content in all formats," Lisa Oldham, executive director of New Canaan Library, said. "With Hoopla Digital, our patrons can access videos, music and audiobooks, on-the-go or at home. This new service allows our members to borrow content, free of charge, and it's digital so there is no waiting period for popular titles and hoopla's automatic return means no late fees."

New Canaan Library is the sixth library in Connecticut to partner with Hoopla Digital. The others are the Darien, Greenwich, Westport and Scoville Memorial libraries.

"With Hoopla Digital, it is our mission to help public libraries meet the needs of the mobile generation," Jeff Jankowski founder and owner of Hoopla Digital, said. "We've worked for years to create a best-in-breed service that is fun, fast and reliable. And we continue to secure content deals to expand the offering of movies, TV shows, music and audiobooks."
