Book sale raises funds for New Canaan Library

The Friends of New Canaan Library's book sale will take place Dec. 6 -9.
In addition to tens of thousands of books for adults and children, the sale has an extensive offering of DVDs, audio books and music CDs.
The sale, in the Adrian Lamb Room at the library, 151 Main St., will be open:
Friday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Early-bird admission is $15
Friday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon to 5 p.m. Half-price day
Monday, Dec. 9, noon to 4 p.m. $5 per bag of books
Additionally, George Baker will be playing the piano Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Reindeer Readers will take place Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and all day Saturday when parents can shop while their children join the reading corner.
The semiannual book sale is the Friends' principal fundraising activity for the library, and it honors John Randolph, a volunteer who worked tirelessly on the sales for many years. Proceeds from the sales enable the library to present extensive and varied programming, such as art shows, concerts, film discussions, book discussions and children's programs, as well as provide other services and facilities for the community.
