Two bicycles were reported missing from the Darien Train Station Tuesday, July 24.
The first report involved a black and yellow Giant mountain bicycle taken from the westbound side of the station near a bicycle rack between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The owner told police he secured the bicycle to a metal sign post because the bicycle rack was full at the time. When he returned, the bicycle and lock had been taken, according to the police report.
The bicycle is valued at $750.
A maroon and silver Gary Fisher hybrid bicycle was reported taken from a bicycle rack on the eastbound side of the train station. According to the police report, the owner secured the bicycle to the rack on July 19 at 10 a.m. using a chain combination lock. When he returned on July 24 at 11 a.m., the bicycle and chain lock were missing.
The bicycle is valued at $500.
