As part of a partnership effort with Kids Helping Kids, the Bank of New Canaan will be collecting new and gently used books through Friday, April 26, at both the 208 Elm St. and 156 Cherry St. branches.
The books will benefit families in need in Stamford, and will be distributed by the Yerwood Center of Stamford, which provides youth with educational and personal development opportunities that will empower them to reach their potential.
Kids Helping Kids has collected more than 24,000 books over the last two years through its book drives designed to support children and families who don't have easy access to reading materials. Based in Stamford, Kids Helping Kids aims to develop leadership skills through youth led service projects for middle and high school children.
