The seventh annual "Art in the Windows" exhibition, featuring 71 local artists in 59 New Canaan store windows, will open Thursday, May 22, and run through June 8.

The display is organized by the Carriage Barn Arts Center and the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce.

The exhibition showcases paintings, drawings, prints, photography, mixed media and sculpture

by artists from Connecticut and New York. All of the works will be for sale.

An Art Stroll Thursday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. will kick off the opening of the exhibition. Stores will be open late and serve refreshments.

Additionally, on Saturday, May 31, from noon to 4 p.m. artists will be working "en plein air" at Pop Up Park, where there will also be art activities for children.
