David Havens, environmental educator and a Norwalk River Watershed Association board member, will lead an amphibian walk at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 30.

The walk will start at the first parking lot on the right, behind the ball field at St. Luke's School, 377 North Wilton Road, New Canaan. All ages are welcome.

Havens, the winner of the 2014 Excellence in Environmental Education Award from the Connecticut Outdoor Environmental Educators Association, will begin with a short introduction on amphibians and how to spot them. He then will lead a woodland walk to visit vernal ponds coming to life with salamanders, newts, frogs and toads.

Wearing tall, waterproof boots is suggested.
