The Fairfield County Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals Board of Directors has announced its 2012 Board of Directors. The leadership includes New Canaan residents Holly Lemoine, Lisa Ferraro, and Diane Reese Tucker.

Lemoine is director of development at Arts for Healing in New Canaan; Ferraro is a director of Norwalk Hospital Foundation, and Tucker is development director for Person-to-Person in Darien. As members of the board, Lemoine and Tucker continue to add their talents to the AFP Fairfield County Chapter, which provides regular professional development opportunities for those involved in fundraising, either professionally or as volunteers.

AFP focuses on providing professional development to help ensure efficient and ethical fundraising for Fairfield County non-profits and fundraisers.

"We are grateful to have local leaders support our area nonprofits and ultimately the greater community," David Schlakman, president of AFP-Fairfield Count, said. "AFP's board helps nonprofit professionals strengthen and develop their fundraising skills and become part of a growing network of development professionals. We hope to see more such professionals involved in 2012."

The AFP monthly luncheons feature speakers with relevant topics for the development of area nonprofits and are held the first Thursday of every month from September to June at Quattro Pazzi Restaurant in Norwalk. To learn more about the activities of the AFP-Fairfield County chapter, or to register for our luncheons, please visit the chapter's web site at www.afpfairfield.org.
