AAA honors New Canaan Police for traffic safety achievements

  • AAA Southern New England-CT recently honored the New Canaan Police Department with a Gold Award for the departmentís outstanding traffic safety programs. In the third annual AAA Community Traffic Safety Award lunch at the Trumbull Marriott, Public Affairs Manager Fran Mayko, center, presented department members with a variety of awards including a Gold Award that recognized the departmentís various traffic safety programs. Both officers are AAAís certified Driving Improvement Program instructors. AAA Southern New England-CT recently honored the New Canaan Police Department with a Gold Award for the department's outstanding traffic safety programs.

In the third annual AAA Community Traffic Safety Award lunch at the Trumbull Marriott, Public Affairs Manager Fran Mayko presented department members with a variety of awards including a Gold Award that recognized the department's various traffic safety programs including its Safe Routes to School Program; Operation Safe School Bus Stop; and annual bike rodeos.

AAA Southern New England has 46 offices in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Massachusetts and provides more than 3.5 million members with travel, insurance, finance, and auto-related services such as driver's license renewals, international driving permits and theme park and movie ticket sales.
