New Canaan police are investigating the theft of at least $33,000 worth of copper supplies from contractors working at Grace Farms, 365 Lukes Wood Road.

The complainants called police Nov. 24 after they noticed several damaged locks at some of their storage containers, according to the report.

One of the contractors reported missing about 900 pieces of copper, valued at $33,200, that would be used for plumbing, police said.

Two other contractors said they're missing construction supplies, but police on Monday did not have an estimated value.

The contractors said they last saw the storage containers undamaged on Nov. 22, according to police.
