DANBURY -- Two people in Greater Danbury died during the blizzard that blanketed the Northeast on Friday and Saturday.

A man who lives on Forest Avenue in Danbury died after falling off his porch sometime overnight or early in the morning, police confirmed.

Detectives went to the scene, but it is unclear whether a medical problem led to the man's death, or if it was storm-related. There was no evidence that he was shoveling or using other snow equipment at the time of his death, police said.

"It's too early to tell,'' an officer said.

The man's identity had not been released as of early Saturday afternoon.

In New Milford, a local man who lived in the northern end of town is reported to have suffered a heart attack while he was snow plowing his driveway, sources said.

Police responded a 9:52 p.m. and found an unconscious man at a Wade's Landing address. The man was transported to New Milford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. More details and his identity were expected to be forthcoming later Saturday.
