Danbury officers promoted to detective

Two Danbury police officers, John Basile and Ralph Anderson, were recently promoted to the rank of detective.
Anderson joined the department in April 2004. He’s been a field training officer and member of the honor guard guard since 2015. He also became a community conditions officer in April 2016. During his time as an officer, he received several letters of appreciation, commendation and awards, including meritorious citations in 2013 and 2014.
Basile, joined the department in May 2006. Some of his accomplishments during his tenure include becoming a member of the ESU SWAT Tactical Team and part-time evidence technician in 2011. He became a part of the Honor Guard and a field training officer in 2012. He’s received letters of appreciation and commendation during his tenure, as well as several unit awards. He also received meritorious citations in 2009 and 2015, as well as the exceptional police service award in 2011 and 2012.
Mayor Mark Boughton commended both officers in his letters to City Council, recommending their promotion.
