Cellist Nicholas Canellakis, an artist with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, visits Connecticut to perform with the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra on Nov. 18-19, under the baton of Maestro David Gilbert.

Canellakis is slated to perform Dvorák’s Cello Concerto. Also on the program are “Finlandia” by Sibelius and Sinfonietta No. 2 by Lajtha.

Canellakis has been a guest artist at renowned music festivals throughout the world, including those in Santa Fe, Ravinia, Music@Menlo, Bard, Bridgehampton, LaJolla, Moab and Saratoga Springs.

The orchestra describes him as “young, innovative, a music educator, as well as a superb performer.”
