NEW CANAAN -- After sitting on the real-estate market for more than a year, TV and radio personality Glenn Beck's 8,270-square-foot New Canaan home on Ponus Ridge Road has been sold, according to real estate broker Lynne Leonard.
The home, which had an asking price of $3.65 million, sold for $3.6 million, she said.
A few weeks ago, media reports surfaced that Beck's home had been sold. Last week, however, Leonard said the deal was not final.
"In the past, we had four almost-completed deals that ended up falling through," Leonard said. "That is why we were a little paranoid about this one. Thankfully, the deal is now official. All the paperwork has been signed and they will close in a few weeks."
Reports of Beck selling his homes in New Canaan and New York surfaced after he recently announced that he is leaving his long-time post at Fox News.
