CEO of Visiting Nurses earns doctorate
Sharon M. Bradley, RN, MSN, DNP, president and CEO of Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, recently earned a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland focusing on the use of Telehealth, an advanced technology that helps seniors maintain their independence at home.
A DNP is an advanced-level practice degree that focuses on the clinical aspects of nursing rather than academic research. Home Telehealth is a simple, state-of-the-art technology which features a small camera, microphone, blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter and stethoscope. The system supplements regular home nursing visits, and improves the quality of overall health while avoiding costly trips to the hospital.

Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum awarded grant
The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Norwalk was awarded a $15,000 grant in from the Xerox Foundation in support of its educational and cultural programs, a substantial increase from the amount awarded to LMMM last year.
The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum presents six art exhibitions annually, lectures, guided tours for children and adults, a music/entertainment series and a variety of other cultural and educational programs. Funding from the Xerox Foundation and its substantial 2011 grant increase, will enable the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum to fulfill its mission of providing cultural excellence and vitality to the community it serves.

Under Raveis' direction, William Raveis Mortgage originated its highest volume on record in 2010, $900 million dollars. Orsini made strong contributions to the mortgage team's growth through recruiting and creating comprehensive accountability measurements.
Raveis has made many contributions to William Raveis Mortgage since he joined the company in 2006. Originations volume increased by 74 percent, from $515 million in 2007 to $813 million in 2009 and $900 million in 2010.
